Shockwave
So the Transformers series is going along very well so far. This is the second in the series, Shockwave, of the 10 or 20 peices I want to create. The third is Megatron and is currently at 75% completion. Hope you all are digging it so far, I may paint out the text from Optimus later on. To see more of my work check out: www.jonumental.com

arber-san
Me and my buddy Arber were hanging out last night painting and drawing, this is a peice that turned out surprisingly well. Took me about 5-10 minutes to do. What I like most though is that the style and look I get with my ink on wood is pouring into my acrylics and other skills. Yippeeee Skiiippeee!

LION TAMER

Me and my lil ol' group of fellow illustrators got really hammed discussing ideas for a book. Buddy Ryan grabs one of my four wooden coasters and starts to draw, only after he rampidly asked for stuff that he could draw on the coaster was the 5th proposal from him and I caved. Thank GOD! We ended up (the 4 of us) taking a coaster each and drew on it a personal illustration. This is very normal for us by the way. I will upload and scan their coasters soon enough. :) But anyways had a blast and wanted to show people what we have made, NEON PIRATES ALL THE WAY! This idea will evolve to something else eventually, keep posted people! - The Lion Tamer!

Something I have going on atthe moment is a job for a website, yes as well as being a illustrator I also know how to build websites. But at least I am using my work paintins, illustrations as such for the imgaery. For Gilson though I wanted to get a street feel and keep the comic line attached to it, seeing as he likes the stand up work the most instead of tv I figured I keep everything to his roots. So the idea of a brick wall that is actually what I call textured painting, a little side project for myself that takes illustration to the art world a bit, that involves illustration with a realistic 3D look to whatever is being depicted. Loads of molden paste there, luv working with my hands directly! But back to what I have posted here the bright red brick connotates the idea of a red curtain as per say, a stage awaits for the audiences attention. I am going to be making a microphone tonight and later will post the rough drawing that lead to this crazy website creation, and this will only be the opening for the site. The bricks will pull apart and whatnot to get to the information behind, stay tuned for more! EXCITED AS ALWAYS!!!
P.S. that is actually Gilson Lubin's own handwriting on the wall in blue, one shot and it turned out great. I would have died if it mucked up!!!

This is a peice that I am using to create a video game pitch I am working on. There are four more peices after this that are a part of this series.....soon to be posted oooohhhhh aahhhh! Fortunatley I have had offers from clients to buy this work, unfortunatley I can't sell them at the moment so I am on a rush to make more work like this but not from this particular project. Hence the humming bird peice.
